Ellen Jewett surreal fantasy sculpture

Ellen Jewett, Canadian artist took to shaping 3D forms naturally inclined towards sculpting at a young age. To Ellen, sculpting has always been about life, biological narratives and cultural statements. The tedious hours of labor act as the mysterious foundation from which each of her sculptures’ personality springs forth. Sculptures made by Ellen are a different world in itself, there are fantastical narrative embedded with her creations. Her sculptures are completely made by hand without using any tool other than a paint brush. The sculptures are made of clay and painted with acrylic paints.  She had already started Creatures from El in 2005 and upon graduation plunged into it full-time. Ellen continues to supplement her knowledge with professional courses and apprenticeships. She aspires to pursue graduate work in anthrozoology whilst maintaining her life as a studio artist.

Fantasy animal sculpture made of velvet clay

Ewgeny Hontor, a talented artist from Russia  sculpts magical animal creatures made of velvet clay. Hontor which is  3 years studied with Russian artist Vitaly Shimichev and worked in the ceramics studio under the guidance of artist V. Orlov for several years. He uses vibrant colors in most of his works adding a magical realism to it. Most of the sculptures are small sized expect the galaxy cat featured above which is a life size replica and  have a domesticated feel to them.

Amazing surrealis painting by Chiara Fersini

Chiara Fersini, aka Himitsuhana,  a professional photo artist from Italy creates some great surrealist portraits between photography and painting. Chiara likes art, especially painting and photography since she was a child because her mother was a decorator and painter. She put into her works her dreams, fears, her sorrow and joy and seeing them happening into images is a manner to feel free. With a soft and dreamy atmosphere, Chiara Fersini takes us into her world on the edge of dream with strange and beautiful compositions.

Giulia Bernardelli spilled food painting

This beautiful painting below is made by 27-year old Italian artist,  Giulia Bernardelli. Giulia takes spilt coffee and turns it into art spontaneous and never plan, such as when she drink coffee, she reflect on the nuances that she could create if she turned it over on the table. She decided to replace the brush by what nature has to offer, such as leaves, fruit peels, or just the food.
